Joyce Chen, Educational Assistant
 
I was born in Taipei, Taiwan. My family immigrated to Canada when I was ten years old. I grew up in Burnaby and attended Edmond’s elementary school and Burnaby Central secondary school. After attaining my bachelor’s degree in General Arts from University of British Columbia, I became an English teacher and taught in Taiwan and China since 2003.
 
I am the mother of two daughters. I enjoy reading and travelling with my family in my spare time. We now live in Tsawwassen.
 
I currently attend Lighthouse Church in Ladner. I have always been passionate about teaching children the love of our Lord.
 
My favourite verse is John 3:16 “ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
