I was born in Chilliwack, BC and shortly after the birth of my brother two years later, our family moved to Surrey. I have lived in Surrey, Langley, and England (attending Bible school). I am a member at Peace Portal Alliance church, participating in choir and Bible study. When I am not planning or marking, I enjoy reading, spending time with family and friends, and planning future travels. One highlight of this past summer’s travels was seeing the home that my great-grandfather built in the 1880s, in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
I have a B.ED (Elementary) from Trinity Western University and a M. Ed (Curriculum and Pedagogy) from the University of Alberta. I have taught and trained teachers through the years and continue to mentor student teachers at TWU. I have been at educator since 1997. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to work in both the public system and independent school system. At the end of this month (June), I will have completed ten years as a blended learning teacher for homeschoolers. I like incorporating project-based learning, technologies and Christian perspective into the classroom.
